A development support tool for estimating raycast selection success rates in VR environments
This work proposes a system that estimates object selection success rates for raycasting interactions directly inside development tools for VR environments. Its goal is to turn knowledge from 3D pointing research into something developers can use in an actual UI improvement cycle.
The paper verifies the theoretical validity of the estimation method, explains the tool's functions, and evaluates its usefulness through feedback from VR developers who tried the system. It is positioned as a practical tool for bridging the gap between research and development.
